To facilitate this process, Genitect offers planning and leading change services for the senior leaders, with employee involvement and process improvement services for all organization members.


Planning and Leading Change

We offer services to help facilitate the change process: planning for change, coaching change agents, and project management and progress review. Planning change encompasses the changes to the processes, culture, and individuals that will be required to successfully implement the new design. Coaching change agents prepares key individuals in the organization to successfully lead change initiatives including the hardest part – the people. In addition we offer coaching in project management and progress reviews.

Comprehensive Performance Excellence Journey Planning

This Focus workshop is an interactive series of planning sessions over a two-day period that address planning for the five key components of the journey to performance excellence including: leading the journey; continued comprehensive internal assessment and improvement; involving and engaging employees throughout the organization; communication; and developing a master integrated plan. Participants produce tangible action plans addressing each of the five areas. These plans include both long- and short-term actions including specific near-term actions for the first 90 – 180 days. This workshop is specifically designed for organizations in the early stages of their performance excellence journey.

Leadership Development and Coaching

In addition to the various leadership development workshops Genitect also provides one-on-one coaching and mentoring for leaders throughout the organization. The specific topics depend upon the unique needs of your organization and the leaders. Topics might include: leading change, enhancing communication, training needs assessment and planning, measuring and rewarding success, time management through effective meetings, team-building, planning for success, and empowerment.  

DiSC Profile

Genitect is an Authorized Distributor for the Inscape Publishing product suite of learning instruments including: DiSC®, Team Dimensions Profile, Work Expectations Profile, Time Mastery Profile®, Personal Listening Profile®, and the Discovering Diversity Profile®.  

Genitect uses the DiSC® Profile extensively with leaders at levels to help them understand both their own  and their coworkers’ behaviors. This enables individuals to understand others behaviors and adjust their own behavior to optimize the interactions.

Conscientiousness: Concerned and Correct. C’s are sticklers for quality and like planning ahead, employing systematic approaches, and checking and re-checking for accuracy.

Project Management & Progress Review

As the leadership and the entire organization continue on the journey toward performance excellence, we offer both structured sessions and leadership coaching through organization performance and progress review to ensure you are making progress in the desired direction. Employee Involvement and Process Improvement

The follow-through! To actually achieve performance excellence, a culture of continuous improvement must be developed throughout the organization. We offer three services to help facilitate employee involvement in the management and improvement of processes throughout the organization.

Process Definition, Management, and Measurement – SIPOC Workshop

This execution excellence process development workshop is an interactive series of three one-day sessions that identifies the suppliers, inputs, processes, outputs, and customers along with their requirements and measures (SIPOCs) for key organizational components/units (e.g., division, plant, department). In addition, the participants develop a custom approach to process management including identifying the key value creation processes and key support processes.

Process Improvement Methodologies - PDSA Workshop

This process improvement (PDSA) workshop is a two-day interactive session that enables the participants to use the FOCUS-PDSA model for process improvement and problem solving.  At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to select and use appropriate data analysis and problem solving tools from a “menu” of tools and apply them to help solve problems in a variety of real world situations.  In addition, the participants will be able to identify opportunities for improvements in their routine work processes and use the FOCUS-PDSA context to create action plans in alignment with the overall organization direction. 

Process Improvement Team Coaching

This process improvement workshop is an interactive session, spread over two days that enables the participants to facilitate the development of successful process improvement teams.  The workshop focuses on team management, utilizing various process improvement methodologies, tools and techniques to create measurable improvement.  Participants learn to create the conditions for team success, including providing additional instruction to teams as needed and ongoing encouragement and accountability tools and techniques.  In addition, participants learn to identify and utilize metrics to determine the success of the improvements and reward and recognize the team members.  In addition to the workshops, Genitect also provides individualized process improvement team and team leader coaching to assist and facilitate teams and their leaders throughout the PDSA process.

Research Report

Transformational CEO - Attitudes and Motivations

A recent Monfort Institute research report by Charles Appleby, Carl Harshman and Genitect Managing Partner, John Latham details the findings from an exploratory study on the motivational and attitudinal patterns (MAPs) of CEOs who have led organization transformations resulting in recognition of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
